Highlight #

We had ice-cream party in office today. Lot of code reviews back to back at Fafadia Tech on XpertConnect project. And, of course we get to know about our Team members.

Highlight of AMA sessions #

We had XC’s second AMA session. Doubts were cleared on various questions team members had around functionality of ACM.

We also had a general AMA session where we discussed Squid Proxy and Celery

Following are some important points of discussion

  1. Use of Celery as simulation e.g. Alpha Zero’s self play
  2. Thumbor a tool used in past for image editing by passing params in URL
  3. Apache Kafka as an alternative to Celery
  4. MQTT protocol being used for IoT applications
  5. AMQP by means of RabbitMQ as broker for Redis
  6. Dramatiq as an alternative for Celery
  7. RQ as an alternative for Celery
  8. We also had a discussion on Botnet and its good applications in real world. E.g. Thinking of uptime as botnet that keep checking for various clients
  9. DHTs being used
  10. There is a course Distributed System that uses golang

Along the way we explore various transcription services. Omkar desai will write more about it. What interesting is YouTube has its own Transcription Tool which is a good enough solution
